TAPE ECHO is a software realization of a tape echo without
fed back into the pre-echo signal.
By using the headphone stereo output of an android mobile device
two audio outputs with variable different delay relative to
the microphone input can be realized.

TAPE ECHO is made for purposes of experimental music or just
to make it possible for one musician to perform canon music with
up to three voices.
In combination with active loudspeaker boxes TAPE ECHO can be used
as tool for life electronic music.
WARNING: When using TAPE ECHO an inappropriate positioning of
microphones and loudspeakers or an extreme amplification
may cause audio feedback.
Getting started with TAPE ECHO
Sing a canon and let TAPE ECHO apply two different delays to your voice:
When starting TAPE ECHO the settings-screen appears.
Turn here tempo e.g. to 96 beats per second, left delay to 8 and right delay to 16 beats.
Pressing the play button starts TAPE ECHO.
For your orientation left and right beat- and bar-counts are shown.
Begin singing your favorite canon e.g. "Frère Jacques..." starting when
left beat count flips to 1.
TAPE ECHO was already successfully tested with the following devices:

Known problems with older/weaker devices:
Sometimes the initialization fails. - Just start TAPE ECHO again.
